Vada Pav-Mumbai Street Food/Chaat
Vada pav is a famous street food of Mumbai. It is the
Indianized version of sandwich with batata vada as the filling and green
chutney to pep it up. The best part of the vada pav is the spicy dry garlic
chutney that totally makes a difference in taste. I can simply nibble some
potato chips with this chutney.

Noodle-Bread Rolls/Noodle Magic Rolls
Noodles are my absolute favorite. I can have them for any
meal/all meal of the day. Well this recipe, of course shows how far one can go
for the noodles. But this idea truly came from a snack I had an year ago from a
food outlet while I was shopping for groceries. I should say the moment I saw
‘maggi’ on the menu I immediately ordered it before I could completely read the
name of the dish.

Ammini Kozhukattai/Steamed Rice dumplings
Ammini kozhukattai is one of those dishes that bring
everlasting memories. My Periyamma likes these ammini kozhukattai a lot. So
Amma makes these lovely little balls whenever Periyamma visits us. Nothing
fancy about this steamed rice balls, but makes a perfect home-made snack that
can be made easily. Now off to the recipe.

Jhalmuri
Jhalmuri is a snack/chat item made using puffed rice.
Jhalmuri is a street snack of Bengal like Beach pori in Tamil Nadu. One day i
was watching ‘eat street’ in Fox life. They featured about a Briton Jhalmuri
seller who was addicted to this Jhalmuri when he visited Kolkata and later took
it as a business. The way he made the Jhalmuri was mesmerizing and it made me
drool over and urged me to try it. So here it is.
