Salted Caramel Sauce - Homemade



I love salted caramel. Especially a lavish drizzle on a scoop of vanilla ice cream makes me go for a second or third serving. Salted caramel cuts down the richness and sweetness of the ice cream!. yeah.. I love the sauce so much that I used to buy those squish in bottled syrups and used to mix with milk, top it on white bread, or the best, squish it directly into my mouth.. ha ha ..

Home-Made Paneer/Indian Cottage Cheese


Paneer is a healthy source of calcium and proteins though it’s a bit rich, it can be in your diet once in a while and of course should be included if you are a vegetarian and that gives a reason for me to cook paneer often.. ok,, very often!! But honestly I m not that into homemade paneer not that I m a rookie relying on store bought packets all the way, or who doesn’t approve of the more luscious, soft and way more hygienic paneer made at home.

Sambar Podi/Sambar Powder/Kuzhambu Milagai Thool


Sambar powder is one ingredient around which my whole cooking revolves. Though it plays an indispensable part in my cooking I have never ever tried to make it on my own. Even after being married for 4 years and a kid and 2 cross country shifts, I always carry this one ingredient wherever I go, made by Amma.
