Green Chutney-For Chaat Items


The green chutney used in chaat items is not only flavorful but also healthy as it has no fatty or oily items in it. But sure those are made up for, with the chaat items that come loaded with calories !
Anyway green chutney is a great accompaniment even for rotis along with chopped onions.  I always have tem stocked up for any day to come. So here it is!
Ingredients:
Coriander leaves-1 cup, cleaned
Mint leaves-1/2 cup, cleaned
Green chilies-2
Onion-1, small, roughly chopped
Garlic-1 pod
Cumin powder-1/4 tsp
Chaat Masala powder-1/2 tsp
Lemon juice-1-2 tsp
Salt- as needed
How It Happened:
1. Add all the ingredients in a mixer/blender jar, blitz it well. Sprinkle little water and grind it to a smooth paste.
2. Transfer it to a clean dry air tight container, store it in the refrigerator.

3. While using, find a clean dry spoon and enjoy with all Chaat items or the recipes that calls for green chutney!
Notes:
* I remove the roots and I use the stalks of the coriander as they have great flavors.
* The shelf life is about a 7-10 days. But use them as fresh as possible.

* The color starts slightly darkening as times goes by.
